I didn’t have enough content for a single ghost story, so I’m posting two experiences about ghosts that I heard but couldn’t see.

EVPs, a Common Occurrence

I have had several memorable EVPs. In my case, they were either mechanical, scary sequences that made no sense, for instance:

A phone call with sounds I couldn’t identify. A woman’s voice was talking nonsensically and in a very inarticulate way. Or a phone call with a voice of bizarre, gender-ambiguous tone. The latter gave a long nonsensical message of dishonest connotations without sounding vulgar. But it made evident that the nonsense was about something sexual.

I was put through two or three more like those but I can’t remember them right now.

But the worst of them all was one that gave me the scare of a lifetime. It was a summer night, after supper. I left the main area of the house and went to the back. I entered the den, feeling full and happy.

I sat in front of a PC that I had there. That PC wasn’t connected to the internet. Thus, a thing like what happened next couldn’t have been a software practical prank or malware from the internet.

The PC was idle, it was on, but nothing was running in it. I sat down, put the headset on, and when I was going to click on the Winamp icon I suddenly heard a demonic voice talking. It sounded like how a voice would sound if speaking backward. The texture of the sound wasn’t like anything I had heard before and ot gave me the sensation of darkness. It was a way, way sinister voice.

I just couldn’t handle it. I was too sleepy after supper and the shock took me with my guard down. I instinctively pulled the headset off my ears, threw them away, for them to land wherever they pleased and lighted away from the den to the front part of the house in one second.

The Bell Witch of Tennessee and Me

A few years ago I was reading Our Family Trouble — The Story of The Bell Witch of Tennessee. It may sound spooky, but it’s not a very creepy book. Still, you can’t deny it’s a fascinating read. After reading it I thought that the ghost witch of the Bell family was such a hard-ass ghost that it deserves to be classified as demonic.

I mean, if the stories in the book are true, that ghost wronged the Bells so many times, and in such annoying ways that is a very complex kind of entity that, while still a ghost, resembles more a demon than an apparition.

As I said, I wasn’t scared or even feeling a little dread, but I was having a blast reading that book. I enjoyed it a lot because the ghost had its personality, and as you turn the pages, you get to know her more and more.

One morning, when I was going by like the middle of the book. I went to the bathroom and began to take a shower. when I was taking the shower, suddenly and out of the blue I heard a girl crying two feet from me behind the shower curtain. It sounded real, it wasn’t just a mental voice, it sounded like a girl right there crying.

I promptly opened the curtain but obviously there was nobody there. This was like an EVP but without technology in-between, it creeped me out because it sounded too real to be an aural hallucination.
