This is an invitation for you to submit your ghost stories. The website has several other sections and full social media functionality, but we want the heart of the community to be the True Ghost Stories section. Please register anytime from 11th March 2024 through 21st March 2025 and achieve Community Seeder status for life.
As a Community Seeder you will get:
- Complimentary gift (a poetry ebook by yours truly)
- Unrestricted access to the entire site and Community Seeder role for life
- Ability to mold the community with your suggestions before launch day
- An inside look into the final development touches of a community portal
This Community Site is 100% Free and Will Stay Like That
The sections of the website to submit content, like the one for your ghost stories, have a lot of features to list here, I planned all of them to give you both ease of use and awesomeness of presentation and aggregation.
The final product when you finish entering your ghost story will look awesome. All the stories of the community together will be aggregated in outstanding ways that will be visual (sliders of content capsules and such) and/or flexible with sorting and listing (database-like) options.
The control features of the content assets (your article’s media components, like its photos, videos, anything embedded other than the text) will make this website something more than a nice place where you showcase your experiences with ghosts. It will make it a community-built silo of rich content on ghosts.
Moreover, in time it will become an info-system that will allow those researching the subject to compile citations for research or other things; like to mine information and data on ghosts in the most versatile ways.
And we will do this while at the same time educating anyone and everyone that uses our resources about the rights to the content. And this, from day one. Doing things like that, everyone who contributes anything to the community, be it a big contribution or a tiny one, will be credited.
Superficially, the website is and looks like a community site where persons whom experience ghosts can network with each other, but you don’t need to use any of the social media features if you don’t want to. At the end of the day, it’s not a requirement.
We would love to feature a freshly rewritten version of your ghost stories.
What’s in it for me, you may ask? Well, first off, this (thought from the beginning as a) community site as the home for your ghost story, Please check how the stories look and how they are aggregated altogether. I suspect you will like it.
In a more value-added sense, you can add two ‘do-follow’ links to any website or page of your choice in your story’s content. Plus another link in your biography. This is a sought-after backlinking benefit that is 100% free and will stay so.
And remember, is not just about the ghost stories, even if the reason to exist of this community are the stories. All the other sections are aimed at giving persons involved with each of the other ghost niches channels for expression, networking, doing business, etc.
I’m hoping the feature of being able to submit ghost stories, and having a full-featured editor to enter the content (to make it look great) will be of benefit to you. Other than that, you can submit other kinds of content in the other sections of the website.
Once your story goes live, you will have a share-able, beautiful page with your content worthy of showing to others, featured on a brand-new website dedicated solely to ghosts, and with the advantage of being able to use each of your pieces for backlinking to your other websites or pages if you wish to do so.
FAQ
1. You’re thinking: “Okay, I’m in, what next”
Just follow this link. It will take you to a landing page where you will have a form to register. After you fill the form with your data, the site takes you to another page where you can download the complimentary gift for community seeders.
After that, that’s it, you’re in and you now have access to the full website, and can submit content. Come up with three or more questions your potential client might have about your service. Answer the questions yourself in detail, as if you were answering your client’s questions.
2. When is the date of the official launch?
It’s not decided yet, but I think mid-June 2022.
3. Any other details I should know?
Yes. Whatever the final launch date, 22nd March 2023 is the deadline for getting Community Seeder status. Please note that just registering on the website will grant you all the benefits in the list above except Community Seeder status. You’ll achieve that role only after your first story submission.
Best regards, Lex.
True Ghost Stories

Welcome to True Ghost Stories, your community site for stories about ghosts like no other. This website was thought out as the place where those who had or have experiences with ghosts can publish their experiences.
We also seek to build cooperative value through providing other areas of interest to those looking for information on ghosts or wanting to network with other persons engaged in ghosts-related businesses, services, products, and research.

Do You Know any Website more Focused on Ghosts?
I do not. I toured the web’s ghost-related places in search of an awesome website where I could submit my stories about ghosts, and I couldn’t find any place decent that I thought was worthy of my stories.
I’m not going to point fingers at anyone. But generally what I saw was neglect of the community by omission (omitting to provide a decent, free self-publishing platform). Also, a general lack of venues for my content, and websites that were either self-centered or owner-centered.
Websites that touted themselves as catering to people belonging to the ghosts and haunts crowd, but that were forgetful of the person behind the keyboard submitting content.
By self-centered I mean websites with robotic copy and the site as a priority over the community, or, worse, websites owned by egomaniacs that simply offered an unusable, and useless, time-consuming piece of poor effort.
I don’t know you, but I rather not put my content out there if I have to resort to such a website. True Ghost Stories, is nothing like that! This is a website that was thought of and then created without any ego trips like that.
This is a place where the main voice is the community as a whole. And also a self-publishing platform and info-system to give a place to the stories and other content of the user persons and to create a resource for those researching, experiencing, or working with haunts and ghosts.
How to Use This Website
First off, this isn’t a club that is just for the people who had or have experiences with ghosts. Or who works selling a ghosts-related product or service.
The ghost stories area is the flagship section of the site. Still, all of those that are just fascinated by ghosts, just interested in ghosts, or employed or otherwise engaged with the topic of ghosts, and directly related subjects are welcome to become members of the community.
The website has five ghosts community content, and social networking, sections.
You can post any kind of content related to ghosts and the theme of the section. By doing this, your content becomes a page on the website. This is a content feature and not a social feature.
Other than that, users can also post content as social updates like in any other social media site.
Social Currencies
An important aspect of this community is that there are five different kinds of social currencies available to earn and spend as you see fit.
Since the idea of this community is to build cooperative value and enjoy it as a whole, we had to implement a method to tally your participation and support from day one.
Governance
This community will have a horizontal type of governance in which the voice of its members configures the form that the info-system (the site) ultimately takes.
I had to implement a ranks system behind the scenes to be able to make the influence system I designed for the community work. But I realized ranks are something elitist and outdated to tag users of a community with.
Because of that, ranks are transparent to the user, which means, a ranks system is there, but the ranks of each user aren’t posted.
To let your actions speak for themselves through your participation, and not to make you reach some magic number, so you’re able to hang a vanity tag below your username.
Ranks are not just for elitists. Just think of it, it’s a very underdeveloped way of rewarding the members of the community. It is not that good to make an influence system work.
Now, you may think that featuring social currencies renders the doing without a ranking system of dubious effect.
The tokens can’t be compared to a rank system because you can acquire them and spend them, so they’re indicative of contribution and investment in the community to you only.
To everyone else who sees your tokens count, they can only guess the weight of your influence. That is because they are credited and debited depending on your grade of engagement with the community. Others never see a total figure or know how much (or how poorly) you invested in the community.
Publish your content about ghosts in any of these sections:
True Ghost Stories
Your stories about ghosts are handsomely showcased here. The page has a list of the stories that contributors already submitted.
Haunts and Ghosts Hunters
If you want to post any content related to ghost hunting, ghost hunters, haunted places, or guides/How-Tos supporting those who have experiences with ghosts and how to deal/cope with that. Minus personal experiences, that’s what the True Ghost Stories page is for.
Ghost Humor
In this area, you’ll find all kinds of ghost-related humor items and articles. Life isn’t all dread, depression, death-oriented thoughts, and hoping that ghosts either go away from your life or manifest to you.
You have to splice some recreation and relaxation if your life, notwithstanding your likes or dislikes, is being influenced by ghosts. Let’s say that generally, in a high percentage of cases ghosts are a bad influence.
Don’t let that be all that influences you in the topic of ghosts, at least, not while you form part of this community. Visit the Ghosts Humor section and put some laughs in your life.
Ghosts Paraphernalia
Good fits for this section are all the things that are an object directly or indirectly related to ghosts.
You can publish advertisements promoting products related to ghosts. Other than ads and listings, you can submit other types of content, like product reviews, purchase guides, affiliate promotions, etc.
Ghostpedia
A community-built, digital ghosts encyclopedia. Creating your account on this website gives access to it. Once you validate your account, you can create new pages for the wiki, as well as for any of the other sections of the site.
Intelligent Info-System/Social Networking Community
The pages on the website will inform and assist you in all the steps required for your self-publishing of content on this website. To make your interactive actions and processes with the site and the community to be a breeze. To make your visit an experience that you want to repeat.
Generally, the indications and tips will be on the same page you need to know the procedure to do an action.
This site has three main different sections. The content section, with pages of community-submitted content, the community area, with standard social networking features, and the Ghostpedia, a wiki of ghosts.
In the content areas of each silo, you can read, listen, watch and even submit your ghosts-related content.
The category pages, accessed through the main menu, contain an explanation of the content for that category, tips on the best formats of content for that area in particular, and a list of the pages in that category.
Other Site Features Free Services to the Community
Awesome, Visual Showcase of Ghost Stories
The True Ghost Stories Section is where the stories you submit are going to shine and others will read them.
You’ll notice that I devised a way to showcase them awesomely. Still, I know that this page should be the most optimized of the website and that as it stands today, it still has a lot of room for improvement.
I thought hard about how it would be the best way to aggregate ghost stories. And not only make the individual pages look great but also the main page where a database-like table can be used (to sort the content in different ways) should look.
After I knew what I wanted I had to make do with what I found that was available off the shelf.
Sometime down the line, the community will have to decide what are the limitations of what’s currently in place; how the aggregation method could be improved. Then we can deploy a custom-made solution that has all the features the community wants.
This is to tell you that if you think that the Ghost Stories category page can be improved. Yes, I agree. Please drop us a line (either privately or with a social media update) with the features or improvements that you think will make it better.
You can network with all the other website members in a purely social media site fashion.
You can create ghost-related groups in any of the five main silos of the website and have your sub-community, managed by you, on the website.
You can post any kind of ads, promos, jobs/gigs/submissions/pitch calls, or product listings for ghosts-related products and services. In both the Haunts/Hunters and Ghosts Paraphernalia silos.
You’ll find a detailed explanation and instructions on the top category page for each silo, by accessing them through the main menu at the top.
Everything you do as a Community Member Adds up
Each time you do anything on this website, the site assigns social currencies to your profile. Different actions win different types and quantities of social currency. These tokens will allow you to unlock benefits, swag, and similar rewards for contributing to the community.
High-Value Site for Ghosts Lovers
Many features of this community site are valuable. I baked them in the design because I would have loved to have them on a website where I can network with persons crazy about ghosts like me.
Still, nobody is perfect and I know that maybe, a particular feature that you would love to have on this site is not yet supported. Don’t worry, together we will work it out and we may end up adopting it.
Because of situations like this, this website will always be not just completely free, but also community-built. Even at the structural and feature level.
The idea is that anyone who joins has the right to propose improvements, new features, resources, or some specific type of support not yet implemented. You can submit suggestions normally or privately.
If you submit your suggestion privately, the website will not disclose who did suggest or contributed the new conveyance; if the idea is popular with the rest of the community and they approve it.
Other than this community-built and community-driven portal approach, True Ghost Stories has much more to offer you for free; as shown in the previous section of this page.
The ultimate value of the site is how the compound effect of community contributions will make it become a super-node for ghosts-related information.
