| Bachelors Grove – Chicago | OK, I am now 76 years old, but this has stuck in my mind since it happened in 1966. And I had another experience 5 years ago. First the Grove. There is a very, very old cemetery in the Chicago burbs named Bachelors Grove. The idea was only men who were not married could be buried there. It was weird because after I moved into the apartment I kept seeing an old man out of the corner of my eye in a suit but when I looked straight on I didn’t see anything. | Unseen Ghosts Heard: EVPs/The Bell Witch by Lex | I didn’t have enough content for a single ghost story, so I’m posting two experiences about ghosts that I heard but couldn’t see. EVPs, a Common Occurrence I have had several memorable EVPs. In my case, they were either mechanical, scary sequences that made no sense, for instance: A phone call with sounds I couldn’t identify. A woman’s voice was talking nonsensically and in a very inarticulate way. Or a phone call with a voice of bizarre, gender-ambiguous tone. The latter gave a long nonsensical message of dishonest connotations without sounding vulgar. But it made evident that the nonsense was about something sexual. | The Distressing Creep of a Darjeeling Hotel by Lex | In late 2003 I was traveling to Nepal from India. When I was already on my way there, I had to stop for a few days in Darjeeling, to wait for a wire of money to arrive, to cash it out. I spent the first morning and afternoon in the streets. Well not just the streets, at the most unbearable sun of noon I went like four hours inside an arcade. I was kind of feeling uptight, having to pay constant attention to my backpack. | Gangsta Ghost Rides a Bicycle by Lex | Save A childhood friend, with whom I wasn’t hanging out anymore, became a demon. He started spiraling down with a heavy cocaine hydrochloride habit. He became a mean and cheap street thug to fund his habit. The story goes that as a thug he did not last much. Somewhere in 1994, he was killed by the police after he and his associate perpetrated a hold-up in a gas station. He was hit in the neck by a ricocheting bullet. | Way Bizarre First Experience by Lex | I haven’t written a lot about my paranormal experiences. That’s maybe because I had too much of them. Also, maybe because they were generally scarring.
